How to redeem an Apple gift card
An Apple gift card adds balance to your Apple Account. You can spend it in the App Store and on Apple services such as iCloud+ and Apple Music. Redeeming takes less than a minute.
On an iPhone or iPad
- Open the App Store app.
- Tap your profile picture at the top right.
- Tap Redeem Gift Card or Code.
- Enter your code, or scan the card with your camera, and tap Redeem.
On a Mac
- Open the App Store.
- Click your name at the bottom of the sidebar.
- Click Redeem Gift Card.
- Enter your code and click Redeem.
The balance is added to your Apple Account and used automatically for your next purchases and subscriptions.
If your code doesn't work
- Check for typos. Letters and numbers such as O and 0, or I and 1, are easy to mix up.
- Check the country. Apple gift cards only work in the country or region they were issued for. A card for Türkiye can't be redeemed in an Apple Account set to another country.
- Keep your receipt. If the code still doesn't work, contact the store you bought it from and have your order details ready.
Stay safe: never read out or send a gift card code to someone who contacts you and asks for it. Legitimate companies and government agencies don't ask to be paid with gift cards. Learn the warning signs.
